Loss rate is charged-off dollars over dollars approved, across the whole record. It is suppressed below 200 loans, where a single borrower moves it several points, and the year-on-year column is suppressed below 30 loans in the prior year, where a handful of loans reads as a triple-digit swing. Recent vintages are right-censored: a lender that grew fast after 2020 has a low rate partly because its book has not had time to season.
