Disclaimer

This site publishes analysis of a public dataset. It is worth being exact about what that does and does not amount to.

Not affiliated with the SBA

SBA Lending Data is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the U.S. Small Business Administration or any government agency. The underlying data is published by the SBA under the Freedom of Information Act; the analysis, presentation and any conclusions drawn from it are mine alone.

For anything concerning your own SBA loan, your eligibility, or a programme rule, the SBA and your lender are the authorities. This site has no access to loan accounts and no standing to answer such questions.

Not financial advice

Nothing here is financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation of credit. The figures describe what has already happened in a public record. They are not a prediction of what any lender will do, what any loan will cost, or how any business will fare. Decisions about borrowing should be taken with a qualified adviser who knows your circumstances.

Not a lender, broker or marketplace

No application can be submitted through this site and no enquiry is passed to any institution. Find a Lender ranks institutions that have already funded businesses matching the criteria you enter. Approaching them is entirely up to you.

What the rankings mean

Every ranking on this site is a summary of a historical record and nothing more. A lender’s position reflects the loans it has written and how that paper has performed. It carries no information about whether that lender would approve you, what it would charge you, whether it is still accepting applications, or whether it is a suitable choice for your business.

Nobody pays to appear, to rank, or to be excluded. Requests to alter a ranking are declined. Should this site ever carry sponsorship, it will be labelled as sponsorship, kept off the data pages, and will have no bearing on any figure or ordering here. The scoring is set out in the questions on the home page.

Accuracy and limits

The data is reproduced as published by the SBA and is not independently verified. It contains inconsistencies of its own — lender names that change between releases, missing fields, and codes that change meaning — and the analysis may contain errors despite the checks applied to it. No warranty is given, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.

Two limits are worth restating because they affect how figures should be read. Recent loans have not had time to fail, so their loss rates are understated. And the current snapshot is fixed as of 30 June 2026, so nothing approved after that date appears anywhere on the site.

If you find an error, please report it — corrections are made and are welcome.
